Since .NET and Java both run on top of run-time engines, which in turn run on top of an operating system, how would you ever write an operating system in .NET or Java?

Just be sure to zoom all the way in - I was expecting to see golf balls but what I saw instead has shaken my core belief of the moon.

Excellent description and news updates. Geepster has the news updating, along with a map and a scrapbook automatically run from Flickr.
LONDON TERRORIST ATTACKS : 7 July 2005
So London is going to be the site of the 2012 Olympics!
That will be fun.
After stiff competition from Paris, (maybe the IOC figured people would have enough of that name after the past 2 years of a particular celebrity with the same name), that's very exciting.
Too bad the

True there should have been more African artists but the point is that if the achievement is MADE that the G8 leaders do something MORE to assist in the rebuilding of Africa - then it would all be of some good.

Interesting article by Scott Fulton about Dave Winer's response to iTunes and RSS.
I have to agree. Why would they put an iTunes namespace in there - media makes it much better or even use a podcast namespace or something.
What's of more interest is how Scott's comments how the tables have turned: MS is being lauded for being open, MS and IBM are working together, Apple and Intel are working together and Apple is being scrutinized for how it deals with an "open" standard.
Time will tell, to be sure.

Interesting thing that's going on right now.....
With iTunes now offering special RSS tags for podcasts,
PodCast Alley is helping other podcasters by automatically providing updated feeds.
Only problem: no one told the other podcasters.
As a result, looks like Chris may be taking some heat for what otherwise would be a benevolent gesture.
I use
LibSyn for the
FoxShow and they already provide
iTunes compatible RSS feeds.
